Approach and anchoring
Approach via the South Bay Channel, then a private channel marked by two lights, with about 8 feet at low water. Watch the shoals each side of the South Bay Channel. Hail the harbour office on VHF 16.
Practical
425 wet berths from 24 to 60 feet, side ties up to 75 feet. Visitor berths at 20 USD per night under 42 feet, 30 USD above, up to 10 days. Fuel berth with diesel and petrol, pump-out, water and shore power on every berth, three-lane launch ramp.
Ashore
Coyote Point Recreation Area surrounds the harbour with a sandy beach, picnic lawns and the CuriOdyssey science and wildlife museum at 1.2 km. San Francisco Bay Trail runs along the shore for cycling and walking, with downtown San Mateo about 4 km west.
