Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached by sea in the middle of Casco Bay. The island has no bridge to the mainland and is served by ferry from Cousins Island and from Portland. The yard offers transient moorings in the harbour.
Practical
Petrol available at the fuel berth. Transient moorings, mechanical repair for outboard, inboard and diesel engines, and a 30-ton hydraulic trailer handling boats up to about 50 ft. Heated indoor storage and outdoor winter storage on site.
Ashore
A low-water sandbar links to Little Chebeague, where about 1.2 miles of trails cross woods and beach past an abandoned summer colony. Sandy beaches and walking lanes run the length of the island, which is roughly five miles long.
