Approach and anchoring
On the ICW at green marker 161, near statute mile 295. Snows Cut links the waterway to the Cape Fear River, and the Carolina Beach Inlet to the Atlantic lies about one mile north. The cut runs a strong tidal current, so time the turn of the tide for berthing.
Practical
The marina has 69 berths, mostly 45 ft and 50 ft. There is a fuel berth with ethanol-free petrol and diesel, a pump-out, laundry, showers, free Wi-Fi and a ship's store with ice and basic supplies. It holds North Carolina Clean Marina certification with a no-discharge policy.
Ashore
Carolina Beach and its Atlantic sand beach are a three-block walk from the marina. Shops, restaurants and the boardwalk are within walking distance in the town centre.
