Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south, keeping clear of the rocky shore. Bottom is mixed rock, sand and posidonia, so the anchor must be dropped on a sandy patch to avoid fouling and to protect the seagrass. No lighting or buoyage, daylight only.
Practical
Day anchorage only. Shelter from S, SW and W winds. Exposed to easterlies and to swell from the open bay. Port Vieux de La Ciotat lies 1 NM NW and Nouveau Port 1.1 NM N if the wind turns.
Ashore
Coastal path links the inlet to the old town of La Ciotat in about 25 min on foot. Plage de la Grande Mer and all shops of La Ciotat around 1 NM to the NW.
