Approach and anchoring

Anchoring is forbidden to protect the posidonia meadow. Organised mooring buoys are deployed in summer by the ZMEL. Keep clear of the swim zone marked by yellow buoys close to the shore.

Practical

Daytime stop only, mooring buoys managed locally. Fair shelter from SW, S and SE. Port Vieux lies 0.8 NM NW, Nouveau Port 0.9 NM N, both offering all services if the wind shifts or the buoys are full.

Ashore

Short walk along the coastal path to La Ciotat old harbour, bakeries, market and shipyard heritage museum. Plage de la Grande Mer reachable on foot in about 15 min.
