Approach and anchoring

Reached from the Great South Bay channel, then up the marked Great Neck Creek towards buoy 16. The creek is narrow and tidal, so a draught check against the tide is sensible for deeper-keeled boats. The bay channel runs from the Robert Moses Causeway eastward.
