Approach and anchoring
Reached directly from Lake St. Clair off Jefferson Avenue. The lake is shallow and exposed, with weather building quickly over open water, so the dug basin gives full shelter. No-wake speed applies inside.
Practical
About 577 outdoor wells taking boats up to 50 feet, plus 145 indoor rack berths for sport boats up to 32 feet. Fuel berth with petrol. On-site service department run by Horizon Marine. Convenience store selling bait, ice and supplies. In-ground pool, club house and a children's play area. Security guards on site around the clock.
History
The basin was dug in 1979 and the marina opened in 1980.
