Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from seaward close to the Île Verte. Bottom of rock, weed and mud, holding variable, best dropped on the few sandy patches. Sheltered from NW and W, exposed to easterly and southerly swell.
Practical
Water available ashore at La Ciotat. Port Vieux de La Ciotat is 0.6 NM to the north, Nouveau Port 0.9 NM to the north for all services.
Ashore
Île Verte just offshore is reachable by dinghy, with a coastal path and old Second World War bunkers. The Bec de l'Aigle cliff rises directly above the cove, and the old La Ciotat shipyard, one of the oldest in the Mediterranean, is visible from the anchorage.
