Approach and anchoring
Accessible from seaward, close under the red conglomerate cliffs of the Bec de l'Aigle. Anchoring is not allowed to protect the posidonia meadow. Move to La Ciotat Vieux Port 0.5 nm north or Nouveau Port 0.7 nm north for overnight berthing.
Practical
No services in the cove. Water and shore facilities at the two La Ciotat harbours. Swimming zone marked by yellow buoys in summer.
Ashore
Parc du Mugel directly ashore, 12 hectares of botanical garden with bamboo grove and viewpoint over the cove. Anse du Petit Mugel and Plage du Mugel on foot within the park. Calanque de Figuerolles 600 m west, red rock cove framed by the Capucin needle.
