Guide
Approach and anchoring
The anchorage area is marked by two buoys lettered A at the north-west and south-west corners, with shore markers at the north-east and south-east corners. The bottom is mud with good holding and depths are moderate. The bay is open to wind from the southern half of the compass.
Practical
Short-term anchoring only, with a 72 hour limit in any seven-day period under City of Seattle ordinance. Amplified sound that carries beyond 90 metres from the boat is prohibited. On-shore landing is restricted to two marked sites for small or non-motorised craft.
Ashore
Seward Park surrounds the bay on a forested peninsula, with a shoreline path and old-growth woodland. The Ferdinand Street hand-carry launch lies just west of the anchorage. Lakewood Moorage is about 0.6 nautical miles to the north-west.
