Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the main river channel near Pine Grove Street, Bristol, about 15 miles below Trenton. The Delaware runs tidal here, so plan arrivals around the ebb and flood currents.
Practical
Established in 1906, member-owned and maintained. Berths for power and sailing boats. The club runs sailing lessons with club instructors and hosts fishing tournaments and summer racing. Boat hire is available locally.
History
Bristol Borough was settled in 1681 and served as county seat of Bucks County until 1725. It later grew as a textile and milling town and was the southern terminus of the Delaware Canal.
