Anchorage off Vatable in the bay of Les Trois-Îlets, south side of the Baie de Fort-de-France. Sand and mud, sheltered from east through south to west, open to the north.

Approach and anchoring
Open to the Baie de Fort-de-France from the north-west to the north-east. Under the order of 17 May 2018, anchoring within 300 m of the Trois-Îlets shore is only allowed in the five buoyed mooring zones.

Ashore
The Vatable forest and its mangrove, on the former Vatable sugar estate, back the shore.
