Approach and anchoring

Reached from the ICW between Baker's Haulover Inlet and Port Everglades. Call ahead for a berth and docking instructions. VHF 16 is monitored, with 68 as the working channel.

Practical

Sixty-eight berths, average length 90 feet, on a floating aluminium dock system with Ipe wood decking. Berths take vessels up to roughly 180 feet. In-slip fuelling and pump-out, showers, laundry, fitness room and a captain's lounge. No transient berths: rentals run for six months or a year.

History

The marina is part of the Aventura district that grew from Don Soffer's 1967 plan for the area, built around a resort, a golf course and a yacht club. It now adjoins the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort.
