Guide
Approach and anchoring
Mud bottom, holding only fair. Sheltered from every sector. Space is tight: cruise ships berth along the channel and resident boats occupy moorings. Federal law forbids anchoring in a way that obstructs the channel, and in August 2026 the Coast Guard proposed redrawing the limits of this special anchorage, Anchorage D, where it overlaps deep-draught routes. Check the current limits before anchoring.
Practical
Fuel, water, showers and haul-out at San Juan Bay Marina and the Club Náutico de San Juan, 300 m east. San Juan is a port of entry.
