Approach and anchoring
Drop anchor on sand off the Saint-Elme shore, in about 5 metres close in, where the bottom also carries rock and weed. Protection from the mistral from N to NE. Open to the S and SE, and a swell tends to work in even in calm weather, so it suits a daytime lunch or swimming stop rather than a night. On the way across the bay of Cavalas, note the naval firing range and the orange buoys of combat-diver training. Port Pin Rolland lies 0.5 NM N, Saint-Elme village 0.3 NM NW for tender landing.
Practical
No services on the mooring. A Vival grocery is about 10 minutes on foot from the landing and a Leclerc supermarket about 30 minutes.
