Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Pertuis d'Antioche via the Pertuis Breton, keeping clear of the bridge piers to the south. Sand bottom, holding fair. The zone is regulated for submarine cables and pipes and anchoring is prohibited over much of it, so many boats lie instead on the far side of the bridge off Rivedoux. Anchoring is reported possible near the point, but watch for the kite-surfing zone marked by a sign on the dune. Check the local arrêté before dropping anchor.
Practical
No services on site. Port de Rivedoux Plage lies 0.9 NM SW with water, fuel and shops. La Flotte en Ré sits 2.8 NM W with a tide-gated marina and a larger town.
Ashore
Sablanceau beach runs along the shore with bathing and kite-surfing. Rivedoux-Plage village is within walking distance with bakeries and a Monday, Wednesday and Saturday morning market on place de la République.
