Guide
Approach and anchoring
Open anchorage on the Pertuis Breton side of the island, approach from the east clear of the bridge piers. Well sheltered in westerly winds, from W through S to SE, and exposed to N and NE. The bottom dries at low water and boats take the ground, so it suits only shoal-draught craft and bilge-keelers able to sit upright. Port de Rivedoux-Plage lies 0.3 NM west if shelter is needed.
Practical
No moorings or services on site, but shops and restaurants stand just back from the beach. Water and fuel are available at the port of Rivedoux-Plage, 0.3 NM to the west. La Flotte-en-Ré marina is 2.7 NM to the northwest.
