Approach and anchoring

Approach from the SE in the rade, clear of the shoals off Les Salins. Entrance lit by red and green lights on the jetty heads. Max draught 3 m. Mistral funnels from the NW across the rade. VHF 9. In office hours the crew assist with berthing on arrival, and will tow a boat off the pontoon in a crosswind.

Practical

1432 berths, fuel berth near the capitainerie, water and electricity on all pontoons released by an access card from the capitainerie; the card readers are unreliable, so a hook-up can take patience. Reception is daytime only and closes around 6 p.m., after which a late arrival berths on the reception quay without help. Sanitary blocks with showers, boatyard and travel lift on site. A Carrefour Market and a chandler are close by, and buses run to Hyères town centre 2 km NW. Port de La Capte 0.9 NM S and Port de l'Ayguade 1.4 NM NE as alternatives.

Ashore

Ferries to Porquerolles and Port-Cros of the Parc National de Port-Cros depart from nearby La Tour Fondue. Old town of Hyères with its medieval collegiate church Saint-Paul 2 km NW. Salins des Pesquiers, a Conservatoire du Littoral wetland, adjoins the harbour to the S.
