Approach and anchoring

Access via the Canal du Rhône au Rhin through the Mulhouse reach. Maximum draught 1.8 m. VHF 10. Lock operations follow VNF seasonal hours.

Practical

Thirty berths in the basin, usually with room for a visitor. Around 25 euros a night plus electricity. A key from the harbour master is needed to work the marina gate. The sanitary block is dated but the showers are hot. City centre of Mulhouse within walking distance for shops, rail station and restaurants, and Carrefour will deliver an online order to the boat.

Ashore

The boulangerie MB by Rich is a 5 minute walk. Cité du Train railway museum at about 2 km from the basin, one of the largest rail heritage collections in Europe. A tram runs to the Cité de l'Automobile, the former Schlumpf collection, at about 2 km, holding Bugatti royales and over 400 historic cars.
