Approach and anchoring
Upstream of the Rance tidal barrage, water levels are managed by EDF and published daily. Mud bottom with good holding, on the edge of the foreshore with about 3 m at a tidal coefficient of 108. The reach runs a strong reversing current on level changes, but the anchorage itself sits out of the worst of the barrage stream. Le Minihic-sur-Rance lies 0.8 NM to the north-west, Saint-Suliac 0.9 NM to the north-east.
Practical
Mouillage forain, no services. Water and basic supplies at Saint-Suliac village. The Rance estuary is inside the Natura 2000 zone FR5300061.
Ashore
Saint-Suliac, classed among Les Plus Beaux Villages de France, lies 0.9 NM across the river. Sentier des Douaniers GR34 runs along both banks. Mont Garrot viewpoint above Saint-Suliac rises to 72 m.
