Approach and anchoring

Sand bottom with patches of posidonia, so look for a clear sand patch and check the anchor is well set. Protected from N, NE, E and NW, open to the south and west. Approach from the south keeping clear of the coastal swimming zones marked by yellow buoys from June to September. It stays fairly quiet, with few boats even in August.

Practical

No services on the anchorage. Port du Lavandou at 1.5 NM south-west offers water, fuel, and all shore services. Bormes-les-Mimosas at 2.3 NM south-west is an alternative.

Ashore

Several restaurants line the beach, and Pazzi Plage collects crews from the anchorage by tender. Le Lavandou beachfront runs to twelve sand beaches along 12 km of coast between La Fossette and Cabasson. Ferry from Le Lavandou to the Ile du Levant and Port-Cros, part of the Parc national de Port-Cros, in season.
