Approach and anchoring

Enter on a rising tide with the Ile de Batz channel charts on hand, since the bay dries extensively and is sown with rocks. Good holding on mud. Protection from W through N to NE and again in SW, exposed to E through SE winds which build a chop across the bay. The flat sand and mud suits taking the ground. Anchoring is banned in the mooring field, but there is room to the north and west, between the îlot Sainte-Anne and the port.

Practical

Water available ashore. The marina of Roscoff-Bloscon lies 2 nm N for fuel, electricity and full chandlery. The Moll anchorage is 3.8 nm NW as an alternative.

Ashore

Saint-Pol-de-Leon lies inland from the beach. The Kreisker chapel and its 78 m granite spire, the former cathedral of Saint-Paul-Aurelien, and the shops of the town centre are within 1 km on foot. The GR 34 coastal path passes behind the beach.
