Guide
Approach and anchoring
The North River runs about 7.6 miles inland from Mobjack Bay. The anchorage has a mud bottom with holding sheltered from NW through N to E, and stays open to the south. Depths in the lower reaches run around 6 to 10 feet, so check draught against the tide.
Practical
Mobjack Bay Marina lies 1.2 nm to the east on Green Mansion Cove and takes boats up to 50 feet with shore power and water. Zimmerman Marine, a boatyard, is 3.5 nm to the east for haul-out and repairs.
