Approach and anchoring
Approach from offshore keeping clear of the rocky head of the Lion de Mer. The bottom is rock and weed. Anchoring is prohibited and the buoys are held for diving clubs, linked to one another by ground chains, so a visiting boat can rarely stay and at best snatches a free buoy for a swim or a meal. Shelter from NW through N and W to SW, exposed to E and SE.
Practical
Moorings managed as part of the Saint-Raphaël ZMEL. Santa Lucia marina 0.4 nm NE and Vieux Port de Saint-Raphaël 1.1 nm NW for berths, fuel and resupply.
Ashore
Sentier du littoral runs along the Esterel coast from Santa Lucia to Agay. Red porphyry cliffs of the Estérel massif rise directly behind the shoreline.
