Buoy mooring field off Kerbihan, on the west bank of the Rivière de Crac'h just below La Trinité-sur-Mer, where anchoring is banned to protect archaeological remains and the buoys are for authorized users only.

Approach and anchoring

Enter the Rivière de Crac'h from Quiberon Bay through the marked channel between La Teignouse and the Chaussée du Béniguet. Follow the buoyage up to the moorings off Kerbihan point. Bottom of sand and mud with about 2.5 metres at low water, so watch the sounder with the tide. Sheltered from SW through W to NW. Strong tidal stream in the river, up to 3 knots on springs.

Practical

Moorings on buoys, no services on site. Port Deun Marine 0.5 NM to NE and La Trinité-sur-Mer marina 1 NM to N provide water, fuel, visitor berths and full provisioning. Launch by dinghy to the Kerisper or La Trinité pontoons.

Ashore

A stony beach about 600 metres off has a marked swimming and landing area and a launching ramp. Hamlet of Kerbihan and oyster beds along the river. La Trinité-sur-Mer town centre at 1.5 km by the riverside path, with shops, chandleries and restaurants on Cours des Quais. Saint-Philibert village and its megalithic alignments accessible on the west bank.
