Approach and anchoring

Canalised Saône, VNF managed. Maximum draught 4 m. The Saône between Corre and Saint-Jean-de-Losne is a Freycinet-class waterway with standard lock dimensions.

Practical

Twelve berths for river cruisers, with good depth alongside, but the water and electricity have been cut off and are not working. A road runs about 15 metres behind the quay, with some traffic by day and little at night. Gray town centre lies 0.9 NM E across the river, with all shops, SNCF station on the Dijon to Vesoul line, and the Baron Martin museum housed in the former chateau.

Ashore

Gray old town rises on the right bank of the Saône, with a 15th century basilica and a fine arts museum holding works by Prud'hon and Gustave Courbet. Mantoche village lies 2.1 NM to the SW.
