Approach and anchoring
Approach from seaward along the sandy shore west of the Grau-du-Roi entrance. Anchor on sand in 4 to 5 metres; holding is good and has held through 25 to 35 knot gusts from the N and NE. Shelter from NE, E and SE winds, exposed to S and SW swell which makes it roll and untenable when the marin blows. Calm at night, but busy and noisy by day with jet skis, with eddies near the channel mouth.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no facilities. Le Grau-du-Roi harbour lies 0.7 nm east for fuel, water and shops. Port Camargue, one of the largest marinas in Europe, is 1 nm south.
