Anchorage in the south basin of the Lac du Bourget, off the Étang des Aigrettes reedbed near Le Bourget-du-Lac, in Savoie.

Approach and anchoring
Lac du Bourget is freshwater, no tide. Approach from the north along the eastern shore, or from Aix-les-Bains 5 nm to the NE. Shallow mud bottom near the reedbed, hold 100 m off the shore. Exposed to the vent du nord that funnels down the lake on spring and autumn afternoons.
Practical
Port du Bourget-du-Lac at 0.6 nm to the W with fuel, water and 150 berths. No facilities at the anchorage itself. Shops and SNCF station in Le Bourget-du-Lac village, 700 m from the port.
Ashore
Réserve naturelle nationale du Domaine de Lavours and the southern marshes are part of the protected area around the lake. Voie Verte cycle path along the western shore links Le Bourget-du-Lac to Chanaz via 25 km of lakeside track. Abbaye royale de Hautecombe visible on the opposite shore, accessible by shuttle boat from Aix-les-Bains.
