Guide

Approach and anchoring

Entry through the Canal de Caronte, the navigable link between the Golfe de Fos and the Étang de Berre. Heavy commercial traffic, keep to the starboard side of the channel and monitor VHF. Maximum draught at the yard 4 metres.

Practical

Yard focused on technical work, lift-out with a 100 ton travel lift, hull repair, engine and rigging, and dry storage over the winter. Plaisance berths are not the main purpose. Showers and toilets are basic but clean, with plenty of hot water. A chandlery, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance, closer than the other yards around Martigues. For overnight stay, head 0.4 nautical mile west to Port-de-Bouc plaisance or to the Société Nautique de Port-de-Bouc 0.6 nautical mile south-west.
