Approach and anchoring

Mooring and anchoring are forbidden in this cove, marked by yellow crosses: the sector lies within the Réserve Naturelle des Bouches de Bonifacio where the seabed is protected. A submarine cable to Sardinia also crosses the area. Transit only. Bonifacio harbour 2.1 NM to the north-west. Strong westerly winds channel through the Bouches de Bonifacio, the strait between Corsica and Sardinia, and can reach gale force with little warning.

No facilities. Nearest services at the marinas of Bonifacio 2.1 NM and the Commercial Marina of Bonifacio 2.3 NM to the north-west.

Ashore

Coastal path along the limestone cliffs of Bonifacio leading to the citadel. Sentier des Falaises offers views over the strait and the Lavezzi islands. Marine reserve of Lavezzi 7 NM to the south-east, a no-anchor zone with dedicated visitor moorings.
