Approach and anchoring
Sand in 6 to 12 m. Anchoring between the rocks in 6 m on 30 m of chain is delicate. A CQR on three times the depth in chain held well in 2021. In August 2022 a boat in 12 m dragged in a storm on mixed sand, mud and weed. Shelter is good from E and NE wind and swell, and from the scirocco. The wind can shift at night, so lie well off the shore.
Practical
A floating disco lay in the middle of the bay in 2019. In August 2022 a nightclub barge played music until 7 am. Water sports kept the bay busy by day in August 2021. A grocery shop is a 20-minute walk away.
Ashore
Land the dinghy on the small beach and leave it at one end. From there a walk of about 30 minutes climbs to the new Capo Ferro lighthouse. At its entrance, a dirt track on the right leads to the old lighthouse.
