Approach and anchoring
Rock and mud bottom, holding variable. The buoy field is run by an association and most buoys are private, but a free visitor buoy is kept in the marked area, and anchoring is allowed outside the defined zone. A wreck lies off the access to the cove, give it a wide berth. Sheltered from NW through NE, exposed to S and SW swell coming up the estuary. Watch commercial traffic heading to Saint-Nazaire. Refuges: Bassin de Saint-Nazaire 2.5 NM NE, Pornichet 3.9 NM W.
Practical
No services on the mooring. Full resupply and fuel at Pornichet marina or in Saint-Nazaire harbour.
