Approach and anchoring

Reached from the State Boat Channel through the dredged Amityville Cut, which carries about 10 feet, then via the Great South Bay Channel. The open bay shoals fast, so hold to the marked channels.

Practical

More than 300 berths for boats of varied sizes and a fuel berth. There are showers and clean heads, a canvas shop on site and a barbecue and picnic area with a gazebo. A family-run yard since 1956, it sells and services Chaparral and Sea Hunt boats.
