Acadia national park's island, with the only fjord on the east coast, Somes Sound, 8 km long between 200 metre cliffs. Southwest Harbor and Northeast Harbor are the bases, Valley Cove the anchorage inside the fjord, Bar Harbor the tourist town on the east side. Around it, Swans Island, Frenchboro and the Cranberry Isles for a quiet night. Fog comes down in an hour: keep a GPS track of your entrance.
