Mobile Bay and Mississippi Sound: Orange Beach to Bay St. Louis

Close to 90 miles of Intracoastal behind a chain of barrier islands, in 10 feet of water on average with a tide under two feet that the wind easily outdoes. Wolf Bay and Pirate's Cove on the Alabama side, the Bon Secour River with its shoal entrance, the crossing of Mobile Bay and its 45 foot ship channel, then Pelican Bay behind Dauphin Island, leaving the channel near green 15. Gautier, Ocean Springs, Point Cadet at Biloxi, Pass Christian and Bay St. Louis on the Mississippi side. Offshore, Horn and Petit Bois are wilderness islands in Gulf Islands National Seashore, with no water and no facilities.
