Approach and anchoring
Tellico Lake forms part of the Little Tennessee River system, fed by streams from the Great Smoky Mountains. The marina has year-round access. Duncan lies about 15 nautical miles to the north-east and Caney Creek Marina about 18.5 nautical miles to the west.
Practical
Floating docks carry covered in-water berths from 30 to 90 feet, with extra-wide slips, lifts available, shore power and water. There is a fuel station and private restrooms. The WindRiver community also has an 18-hole golf course and a sports complex.
Story
The WindRiver golf course was the first Audubon-certified championship course in Tennessee.
