Approach and anchoring
Reached via the short Vermenton branch that leaves the Canal du Nivernais at Accolay. Two locks on the branch. Maximum draught around 1.5 m. Mooring alongside the quay near the village, no VHF, gauge barge of 30 m by 5 m applies as on the whole Nivernais.
Practical
Water and electricity on the quay, rings and bollards for mooring. Bakery, grocer and a couple of restaurants within 300 m in the village. Diesel not available on site, nearest station in town.
Ashore
Village centre and the Notre-Dame church of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries at 300 m. Abbey of Reigny, a former Cistercian foundation, at 3 km by road or towpath. Chablis vineyards from around 15 km to the north-east, and the Vezelay hill with its Romanesque basilica at roughly 30 km south.
