Approach and anchoring
Approach from the main navigation channel of the Upper Mississippi River, at the confluence area near the Salt River mouth. Entry is straightforward in daylight; watch for tow traffic and barge wash along the main channel. The harbour basin sits behind the riverbank.

180 berths, both covered and uncovered, on nightly, weekly, monthly and yearly rates. Marine petrol and diesel on the fuel dock. Pool, showers and on-site restaurant. Ship's store, service workshop and parts counter. Twenty-four campsites with full hookups and cabins sleeping up to six.
Ashore
Great River National Wildlife Refuge stretches along this reach of the Mississippi, with bald eagle sightings in winter. Hannibal, Missouri, the Mark Twain town, sits roughly 25 miles downstream by road.
