Large full-service marina on the Patchogue River at Westbrook, Connecticut, on the Long Island Sound shore. Part of the Safe Harbor network since 2012.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached through the Westbrook inlet behind the Duck Island breakwaters, then north up the Patchogue River past the fixed highway bridge. The river channel is marked by private aids and the dock depth is about 8 feet.
Practical
Over 400 berths on floating pontoons for vessels from 20 to 100 feet, plus dry storage. Fuel berth with petrol and diesel, a pump-out, a chandlery, a travel lift and a boatyard. Heads, showers, a pool, a picnic area and grilling stations.
History
Pilots Point Marina opened in 1959 as a small boating facility on the Westbrook shore and grew into one of the larger marinas on Long Island Sound. It joined the Safe Harbor network in 2012.
