Approach and anchoring

Approach up the Willamette from the Columbia River confluence, 12 miles below the city. The marina sits just south of the Marquam Bridge in central Portland, immediately downstream of the Hawthorne Bridge. No tide, river current sensible on the ebb after upstream releases.

Practical

Tom McCall Waterfront Park along the river bank just north. Restaurants and shops of the RiverPlace district at the dock gate. Portland Saturday Market under the Burnside Bridge, 1.2 km north on the riverfront. MAX light rail at SW 5th Ave, 600 m walk.
