Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from Clarence Strait. The harbour bottom is rock, so holding is uncertain and the anchor should be checked carefully after backing down. Shelter is best from the southern and western quarters.
Practical
No marina facilities. Provision before arrival and carry spare fuel for the passage along Clarence Strait.
Story
Trumpeter swans gather at the Ratz Harbor estuary during the autumn migration, and Clarence Strait nearby is a feeding ground for humpback and killer whales.
