Approach and anchoring
Approach via the Tongass Narrows, the main shipping channel for cruise ships and floatplanes serving Ketchikan. Heavy floatplane traffic, watch for departures from nearby Ketchikan Harbor Seaplane Base.
Practical
No public services on the dock itself. Ketchikan Thomas Basin lies 0.9 nm to the south-east and offers 202 transient and seasonal berths up to 65 feet, heads, showers and laundry through the Ketchikan Yacht Club. Port and harbours office on VHF 16 and 73.
