Approach and anchoring
Approach depth is around 10 feet, dockside depth about 8 feet. The harbour mixes fixed and floating pontoons.
Practical
280 berths in total, 40 kept for transient boats. There is a petrol and diesel fuel berth with a pump-out station on the fuel pier, plus a large fish cleaning station. Port Washington was the first marina certified under the Wisconsin Clean Marina programme launched in 2010.
Ashore
The 1860 Light Station and Lighthouse Museum stands on a bluff above the harbour, restored and open seasonally for tours, with a replica fourth-order Fresnel lens in the lantern room.
