Approach and anchoring
Grays Harbor bar is one of the most exposed entrances on the US Pacific coast. Cross only at slack or flood and with a settled sea state; standing waves form on the ebb against ocean swell. Buoyed approach channel from the sea buoy, then Point Chehalis to starboard before turning south into the marina. Harbour office on VHF 67, phone 360 533 9562.
Practical
Visitor berths on Float 6 and Float 21 on a first-come basis. Water, shore power, restrooms, showers, pump-out, ice and bait. Fuel berth on Float 1 with diesel and petrol, just south of the high-pier fish buyers. Max draught at the berths around 5 metres. Restaurants, chandlery and tackle shops on Westhaven Drive within 200 metres.
Ashore
Westhaven State Park beach and Westport Light State Park reached on foot in under 1 km via the dune trail. Westport Maritime Museum on Westhaven Drive, with a restored Destruction Island Fresnel lens. Half Moon Bay surf beach 600 metres south of the marina.
