Approach and anchoring
Port Fourchon is reached from the Gulf or through the inland bayou system, and is the closest harbour for boats coming off the offshore grounds. It shares the port with heavy offshore-energy traffic, so keep clear of service vessels in the channels.
Practical
Yacht and houseboat slips with a boat launch. Dockside fuel and a fish cleaning station. Ashore there are 19 rooms, 40 RV sites with hook-ups, tent sites, three trailers and one cottage for overnight stays.
