Small craft harbour on the Pacific coast of San Diego County, immediately south of the Del Mar Boat Basin at Camp Pendleton.

Approach and anchoring

Entrance between two rubble-mound jetties, the 1,000-foot south jetty marking the harbour mouth and the Del Mar Boat Basin's north jetty next to it. Swell can build at the entrance in winter storms; respect the jetties. Harbor Police escort vessels in on request over VHF channel 16. Fuel berth lies 0.1 NM south of the entrance, Oceanside Yacht Club 0.1 NM north.

Practical

950 pleasure berths and 50 guest slips, sized at 26, 34, 43 and 51 feet, with side and end ties up to 85 feet. Shore power and water on all docks, pump-out, washdown area, showers, toilets and laundry. Fuel berth on site with petrol and diesel. Harbour office at 1540 Harbor Drive North on +1 760 435 4000.

Ashore

Oceanside pier and the beach run south from the harbour mouth. Cape Cod-style cottages, restaurants and shops are at Harbor Drive, with Oceanside city centre and the historic mission of San Luis Rey de Francia a few miles inland.
