Approach and anchoring
Approach from Pool 12 of the Upper Mississippi, between Lock and Dam 11 at Dubuque and Lock and Dam 12 at Bellevue. The marina sits near Nine Mile Island, on the Iowa bank. Daylight approach is straightforward; mind tow traffic in the main channel.
Practical
Seasonal and daily berths, marine fuel dock, courtesy docks for short stays. On-site concession with food, drinks and bait. Accessible heads and showers. Thirty RV sites with water and power, dump station and picnic tables. Site covers thirty acres.
Ashore
Mississippi River Trail and the Great River Road run alongside. Dubuque, five miles north, has the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium on the Port of Dubuque waterfront.
