Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from Provincetown Harbor and round Long Point, marked by Long Point Light, a lighthouse in service since 1827. Anchor on sand close to the beach. The bottom holds well in sand. Open to the W, SW and S, so the spot suits settled weather or winds with northerly component.
Ashore
The sand spit and dike walk lead back towards Provincetown along the western end of Commercial Street, a two-hour walk over the stone dike. Long Point is a known birdwatching spot.
