Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter carefully and stay to the centre once inside, as the cove shoals quickly though predictably. Lakeman Harbour is the best alternative refuge in building winds from any compass point to the east, anywhere from due south to due north.
Practical
Holding in mud is good and there is sheltered room for only a handful of boats, made tighter by abundant lobster gear. There are no facilities ashore. The nearest yard is Moosehead Marina, around 29 nautical miles to the north-east.
