Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from the Barnegat Bay channels off the Intracoastal Waterway. The bay is shallow throughout, so watch the depth on the approach and stick to marked water. Boats up to 65ft moor in a sheltered basin.
Practical
Around 260 berths in a protected basin, plus dry storage. There is a fuel berth, bait and tackle shop, a bayside restaurant, swimming pool, showers and a laundry. The service centre handles engine repair for Volvo, Mercruiser, Yamaha and Suzuki.
Ashore
A Freedom Boat Club base operates from the marina. Waretown sits on the mainland with shops and the Barnegat Branch Trail, a rail-trail for walking and cycling, running close by.
